The SPECS project officially kicked off the 5th of May 2026 in Rueil-Malmaison (France), with a great opening meeting hosted by our coordinator, IFP Energies nouvelles.Over the next 42 months, this EU-funded project will tackle a critical challenge for carbon capture and storage (CCS): understanding how CO₂ impurities affect the entire geological storage system, from the injection well to the caprock.
