Oil and gas industry
Exploration, production, transport and refining activities expose equipment to some of the most aggressive environments in industry: acidic media containing H₂S and CO₂, high pressures and temperatures, condensates loaded with chlorides and toxic gases. Corrosion control in this sector is a prerequisite for personnel safety, plant integrity and regulatory compliance. For several decades, the French Corrosion Institute has supported oil and gas industry players with in-depth technical expertise and dedicated testing facilities.
Our missions
- Qualify materials and equipment under conditions representative of service (HP/HT, sour service, acid gases).
- Identify and understand the corrosion mechanisms specific to oil and gas environments.
- Contribute to the optimisation of protection solutions and material selection.
- Coordinate Joint Industrial Projects (JIPs) with the main players in the sector.
Our services
