Bespoke training
Beyond certified training, the French Corrosion Institute designs and delivers bespoke courses tailored to the specific needs of each industrial sector and each company. These courses can be organised on a company-only basis (on your site or in Brest) or as inter-company sessions, with content and duration defined jointly with your teams. They draw on the scientific and technical expertise of our engineers and on our unique testing facilities.
Examples of available courses
Corrosion of aerospace materials
Course designed for engineers, technicians and maintenance managers in the aerospace sector. Covers the corrosion mechanisms specific to aluminium and titanium alloys and high-strength steels used in aerospace structures, protective coatings, corrosion fatigue and inspection and prevention methods.
Corrosion of automotive materials
Course designed for R&D, quality and production teams in the automotive sector. Covers atmospheric and galvanic corrosion mechanisms, accelerated corrosion tests (salt spray, cyclic tests according to automotive standards), protection systems (coatings, prepainted steels, surface treatments) and failure analysis methods.
Corrosion of stainless steels in aqueous environments
Specialised course on the behaviour of stainless steels in aggressive aqueous environments (chlorinated, acidic, high-temperature). Covers pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, and the selection and qualification of grades suited to different industrial applications.
Marine corrosion
In-depth course on the degradation mechanisms of materials and structures in marine environments: seawater, tidal zone, splash zone and marine atmosphere. Covers protection solutions (coatings, cathodic protection, resistant materials), corrosion monitoring and inspection methods for offshore and coastal structures.
