Our mission
Understanding, preventing and mastering corrosion
Our mission is to understand, prevent and control corrosion for industry, providing end-to-end support from diagnosis to solutions. As a reference corrosion laboratory in France, the French Corrosion Institute relies on a team of specialist engineers and technicians across three sites – Brest, Saint-Étienne and Lyon-Solaize – to deliver recognised responsiveness and quality of service.
We work with all material types, metals (steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper, titanium), paints, plastics and composites, and leverage the unique ARCOR industrial network, which brings together hundreds of projects and expertise engagements every year. Depending on requirements, we carry out direct consultations, lead collaborative research projects (JIPs) and design tailored training programmes to effectively transfer our knowledge and strengthen our clients’ mastery of corrosion protection.
