The project IMPACT-EUCO2 officially started on June 2, 2026, in Oslo. This European Horizon project (call CL5-2025-02-D3-25 – project No. 101269030), coordinated by IFE, is part of a research initiative focused on CO2 capture. Its objective is to assess how impurities present in CO2 transported through pipeline networks after capture may affect the integrity of transport infrastructures. The project is carried out in close collaboration with several industrial partners and standardization bodies.
This project is largely complementary to the Horizon SPECS project, which focuses on storage infrastructures and is coordinated by IFPEN. Both European projects involve the same key stakeholders.
